Block Apps [iOS]

Edited

With one sec, you cannot only intervene apps, you can also completely block apps (and websites!) when needed.

There are different ways to block apps:

Quick Block

To start a quick block, open one sec and select the Block tab.

Here you can select all apps, websites, and categories you’d like to block.

Next, select if this is a Strict Block (no option to pause or leave early), or a normal Block (can be paused or stopped before the time is over).

Finally, tap on the time interval you’d like to start the block for. If you would like to chose a different interval, you can tap on + and specify any interval.

Block via Control Center Toggle

Since iOS 18, you can also start a block directly from you Control Center or Lock Screen:

To enable this feature, long-press your Lock Screen / Control Center to add the one sec block toggle.

When you enable the block toggle, the default selection of apps, websites, and categories on the Block Tab in one sec will be blocked.

Block apps via Shortcut

For more advanced use-cases, you can also block apps via the one sec block Shortcut in the Shortcuts app.
