Smartphone usage has been linked to decreased sleep quality. The bright screens of our phones can interfere with the production of melatonin, the hormone that helps regulate our sleep-wake cycles. Additionally, the content on our phones can be stimulating, making it more difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep.
To ensure a better quality of sleep, consider creating a blocking-schedule for certain apps for evening hours. And make sure you have Apple’s night shift feature enabled, to reduce the blue light coming from your screen!
