Many users of one sec have discovered Apple’s Shortcuts app for the first time and start to see the potential of this app.
If you’d like to further explore what you can do with the Shortcuts app, this tutorial is for you!
If you already know the basics, check out the advanced tutorial.
What are Shortcuts?
Shortcuts are small programs that can execute a series of actions provided by iOS or apps you’ve downloaded from the AppStore.
If you’ve already set up one sec, you already used a Shortcut!
There are plenty available, for example you can fetch weather information, send a message, take a photo…the great thing is: they can be combined, and integrated with each other, to be executed in series or conditionally reacting to each others results!
Automations
Automations can trigger Shortcuts to run automatically. This is the exact same principle we’ve made use of to set up one sec: the one sec 🅰️ Shortcut is ran every time you open a configured app – it evaluates if you are allowed to use the app, or if you should be forwarded to one sec to go through an intervention.
