What is a Re-Intervention?
Re-Interventions interrupt doom-scrolling in a target app after a set time, requiring another intervention to resume use.
Step 1
Open one sec → Customize → Re-Intervention.
If you haven’t already, fulfill the request to grant access to the Screen Time API.
Step 2
Find the app you’d like to set up a Re-Intervention for. In my case, I chose Facebook as an example.
Press Assign app…
Step 3
This will bring up Apple’s Screen Time App picker.
Find the app you’re looking for by using the little arrow to unfold a category. Or use search.
Step 4
I used the search to find the Facebook app.
Select it and then press Done (if the search is still active, you might need to press Cancel first.
Re-Intervention
Next time you open the target app, you will be asked how much time you’d like to spend on the app. After the time interval passed, an additional intervention will be required to be able to use the target app again.
Troubleshooting
What if I selected the wrong app?
You can change the assigned app by tapping on Change app…
What if the app picker crashes or does not show any apps?
Please try again. Apple’s app picker is very unreliable unfortunately, sometimes it takes a few tries to get it working.
