Especially on older devices, the Intervention can sometimes take a couple of seconds before it triggers. To improve that experience, you can replace the target app’s icon on your home screen directly with the appropriate one sec shortcut.

Automation performance seems to be heavily improved with iOS 18.3, so consider updating your device before you try our workaround solution:

Create a new Shortcut. Yes, this time a Shortcut, not an Automation.

Add the 🅰️ Activate one sec Shortcut and select the target app, just as you know it from the initial setup of the Automation.

Select the share icon at the bottom.

Select Add to Home Screen.

Here you can change the app’s name and icon, as it will be displayed on the Home Screen later.

That’s it. Tap on Add to add this new icon to your home screen. If you tap this one, instead of the official app icon, you wont get any glimpse of the content anymore.
